On Wednesday October 22nd we will have our uniform turn in.
We will meet just like we did for practice (in coach Westover's room) where you can turn in your clean, dry uniforms. Please place them in a bag with the athlete's name on it.
We'll then head outside for some games. Please pick up your athletes at 4pm in the staff parking lot.
If you can't make it, please turn in your uniforms to Coach Westover, Forrest or Fig at the high school or the main office at the middle school. Thank you!

Thursday: Team meal/celebration
Runners will practice until 3:45 and then head to the commons/cafeteria.
Team will eat and do awards.

There will be an admission charge of $8 adult and $5 student/senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the meet with cash only. The admission gate will be by the Gault side of the school.
We will turn in uniforms the next week. Make sure they are washed and dry. Please place them in a bag with your name. You may either turn them in to coach Forrest/Westover/Fig at the high school, the main office at EWMS, or we will have a free swim day to end the season. Details will be announce at a later date.

Individual:The top ten runners in both the boys and girls race will get a medal.
Spectator parking: Spectator please park on Ella St., at lower/upper park or in the parking lot on north side of the school. Limited handicapped parking will be provided on south side of High School.
Dogs are prohibited in Orr Park. You may keep your dog on school property but please stay out of the park.
T-Shirts: We will have shirts for purchase.
Concessions:Concession Stand will be open with Food and Drink, along with Michaels Bakery Donuts. A Coffee Truck will be present as well
Monday-Thursday: Practice until 4:30pm. We will still practice if it rains. If we have thunder/lightning we will move to the Gault.
Friday: No practice. Enjoy your time off. Rest up and take care of those sore muscles!

Spectator Parking/Admission: There is no cost for parking but there will be a $5 entrance/spectator. Spectator parking will be located in the grass lot across from 4448 S Medina Line Rd. Norton, OH 44203. A gravel path will guide spectators to the course from this parking lot(450 cars). If spots are filled up then the land owner across the street will allow people to park on his property. He may charge to park.

All athletes will be chipped timed on their shoe by Gopher Timing with shoe chips. Chips will be collected at the finish line.
Second Sole is going to be on site to offer some running gear for sale. New Balance is sponsoring backpacks as part of the individual awards. Backpacks are picked up at the Second Sole Tent

Spectators: Be prepared to walk through the woods. Most trails will be used as part of the course so be cognizant of this as you are

Athletes should arrive by 10:45am. We will meet at our tent which will be along the back of the school. we'll send out a picture as soon as we set it up.

Parking Details:
*** All buses and fans will need to enter our campus from the Emerson Road entrance. The State Route 250 entrance will be closed.
*** All cars will have to park in the main parking lot between the new HS and the old HS or in the parking lots around the new HS.
*** Please advise your fans to drive slowly due to all of the people on our campus.

First day of school and our first meet.
Please pack your bag tonight. You should have your uniform, socks, shoes, water bottle and a couple snacks.
7th graders will ride up to the high school on bus #31 (it should be towards the front of the line up on the street). The bus should let you off at the Gault doors. Enter the high school and wait by the Gault doors until the high school dismisses. Then you can walk into the Commons and change in the restrooms. Please meet up again by the Gault. Try to be against the walls so we'll not blocking the students who are exiting the building.
8th graders: You can use the bathrooms in the 8th grade hallway or the ones by Coach Westover's room to change and then meet by the Gault.
The bus leaves at 3:30pm from the Gault doors. Make sure you are dressed and ready to go.
We are heading to Northwestern Elementary school. The race will take place behind the school by the quad softball/baseball fields. We will have a team camp set up.
MS Girls run at 6pm and MS Boys run at 6:30pm.
If you want to take your athlete home with you after the race please fill out the Bus form and turn it in to the coaches.
Monday-Tuesday : Practice 3:30-4:30pm. Meet in staff parking lot. Please drop off in the front loop since teachers will be exiting the building at that time.
Wednesday: Meet day! 7th graders will ride bus #31 up to the high school. All students will change into their uniforms. Bus leaves the Gault doors at 3:30 heading to Northwestern Elementary School.
MS Girls run at 6pm. MS Boys run at 6:30pm.

Thursday-Friday: Practice after school (2:45pm) until 4:30pm.
Monday 8/11 - Picture Day Practice will be from 10am-11am. Drop off and pick up at our normal location. Athletes should wear their uniform to practice.

Thursday 8/14- Friday 8/15: Practice from 3:30-4:30pm. Please use the front loop to drop off as teachers will be exiting the parking lot at that time.

All of your forms must be signed digitally by parent/guardian and student, and a current physical must be on file in order to participate once we get to the first day of mandatory practices, August 1st. Follis will be our home base since we will have access to water and restrooms.
We will be running on and off campus on those days.

2025 Cross Country Information
Mandatory practice will begin Friday, August 1st
Drop off and pick up will be in the staff parking lot of Wooster High School (East side of school)
We will practice Monday-Friday from 9-10:30 AM until school starts
A more detailed calendar will be shared as the season approaches
You must complete 10 practices to participate in the first meet
Dress for the weather and bring water! Wear a good pair of running shoes.
RUN over the summer so that you are ready to go! (We will have some optional group runs starting in July. Sign up for Remind to stay up to date on summer runs, practices, and more)
All fall athletes must have a current physical on file in the athletic office before participating in official practices, games or events -NO EXCEPTIONS! All forms are due by August 1st.
