Pool Day at WHS! Free swim from 3-4pm. Admission is your uniform (clean and dry) and blueberry if you took one. If you can't attend, please drop your uniform off to Coach Forrest or Coach O'Dell in a plastic bag with your name on it by Friday. Thanks!

Thank you to all the families that helped out with our team dinner! Thank you for your support and flexibility with meets and practices. It's been a great season! See you on Saturday!

Last week of practice!

This Thursday will be our team dinner and awards. We will have a short practice from 3pm-4pm then meet in the Commons of the High School for a team dinner. Parents please visit this link to sign up to bring something to share. http://signup.com/go/yTqDrUh After the meal we will hold team awards.

Saturday's meet is at Ashland, Freer field. We're still waiting on details. We will let you know as soon as we hear.

Tuesday 10-16-18 - Team pool party at WHS. Admission to this event is your uniform (and blueberry), cleaned and dry. If you can not attend this event, please return your uniform to Coach O'Dell or Coach Forrest.

Meet at Orrville (Wayne/Holmes)!

Bus leaves at 8:30am from EWMS.

The high school runs after us and then there will be awards (with medals and trophies) so those riding the bus should plan to stay until the end. Return to Wooster estimated for 1pm.

CVNP!

Bus leaves EWMS at 7am! We will arrive in time to walk the course. Please bring an extra pair of socks and shoes that you won't be racing in because your feet may get a little wet.

Races:

• MS Girls Open: 9:30 am

• MS Boys Open: 10:00 am

• MS Girls Team (Top 7-10) 10:30 am

• MS Boys Team (Top 7-10) 11:00 am

We will let the runners know which race they run on Friday at practice.

Parents should park at Woodridge HS and there will be shuttle buses to bring you to the race location.

We will leave as soon as we get packed up. WHS does not run at this meet. Estimated time back to Wooster is about 1pm.

Please bring swimsuits and towels for a pool workout on Wednesday! Pick up will be on the Gault side of the high school at 4:30pm.

Since we do not have a meet this weekend, we invite you to run with us at Memorial Park (5197 Silver Rd works for GPS). We will meet in the parking lot on Silver Rd on Saturday at 9am. We will be running for approximately 45 minutes. There will be some runners from Vertical Runner joining us to lead the way through the park. Parents are welcome to come as well. This is a great practice for what we will encounter at the CVNP meet!

For practice today, the team will be running to Oh Yo! Since the team worked so hard at the Northwestern meet the coaches decided to treat them to frozen yogurt!

Please pick your runner up at Oh Yo! at 4:30pm today.

Bus leaves WHS (behind the school) at 3:15pm.

Girls run at 5pm.

Boys run at 5:30pm.

There are trophies for 1st and 2nd place as well as medals for the top 10 runners in each race.

When the runners finish, they will get a numbered index card. These need to be returned to Coach Forrest or Coach O'Dell in a timely manner. We will need to put each runner's name on them so don't send them with another runner or parent. Chances are the race will still be going on or there may be a bunch of runners trying to turn them in at the same time, so it may take a minute. Please be patient. These need to be done accurately so that the times and scores are correct. Thanks:)

• Fair Day (September 10th) - No school! Glow run at Vertical Runner (optional). Bring your own glow sticks and your family to join us. The run begins at 7:30pm at Vertical Runner. (Parents and siblings are welcome to run or can be on the route to assist with directions/road crossings.)

• Teacher Inservice Day (September 11th) - No school! Practice 3:00 pm – 4:30pm at WHS as normal.

Because of the heat the meet will now start at 5pm with high school races.

There will be a water station provided at the halfway point. It will be a bottle of water that you can run with if you choose.

9.4.18 - Smithie Invite (UA Wayne College)

7th grade will take the transfer bus up to the high school as normal. Coach Forrest's room will be available for those students who wish to work on homework until the bus leaves WHS at 4:15pm. We will leave from the back of WHS like we did for Mapleton. We will return to WHS after the meet.

We will arrive at the meet in time to walk the course and set up our camp. WHS runs starting at 8:30am.

8.22.18 - Meet Day!

Happy first meet day!

7th graders: Our goal is to change quickly after the assembly during your exploratory and ride the transfer buses to WHS. If time is too tight Coach O'Dell will let you know that you need to catch the bus and change at the high school.

Everyone: Meet in the hallway by the band room at WHS. There are restrooms there that we can use to change into our uniforms. We need to be quick so that we can leave as close to 3pm as possible.

Uniforms: If you want to wear something under your jersey, it must be white. If you would like to wear something longer under your uniform shorts, it should be black.

Remember to bring a snack for after school and your water bottle to stay hydrated. Most importantly... don't forget your shoes! :)

Thursday Practice from 8am-9am drop off and pick up at WHS Stadium due to 8th grade orientation.

Friday: Practice and photo day! Drop off at EWMS @ 8:45am in uniform. Bring picture forms and money. Pick up at WHS @ 10:30am
