Jaylon Sims (Mr. Sims) is a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University (EMU) and an alumnus of the EMU Honors College. While at EMU, Mr. Sims specialized in the area of Elementary Music Methods, Choral Methods, and Vocal Pedagogy with voice as his primary instrument. Additionally, Mr. Sims also studied piano and guitar as secondary instruments.
Before joining the Whitmore Lake community, Mr. Sims substituted in music in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor Area. Mr. Sims completed his elementary student teaching at Creekside Elementary in Hartland, MI and secondary student teaching at Creekside Intermediate, Mill Creek Middle School, and Dexter High School in Dexter, MI. Mr. Sims has also worked with the Skyline High School Choir Camp and the EMU Community Music Academy.
