In the music classroom, we use the voice as our primary instrument. Through listening and speaking (singing or chanting), we create a musical vocabulary for more complex operations: reading, writing, and theoretical understanding.

Students at Whitmore Lake Elementary have the unique opportunity to learn a variety of instruments including guitar. Our 5th & 6th grade guitarists learn music from many traditions including folk, classical, and modern.
