The girls track meet had a very successful meet against cross town rivals Udall yesterday! Emma McGrath got her PR on high jump and the girls 4x100 (Emma Smith, Emma McGrath, Olina Nunez, and Molly McGrath) came in first place with the speedy time of 58 seconds! Great job, girls!

The girls softball team won against Islip with a score of 8-3. Juliet LeClaire pitched an incredible 7 innings! Anna Melengic hit a powerful double and Caitlin DeWitt hit a spectacular 3-run homerun to help get the win for the Lions.

Beach Girls Lacrosse team defeats West Babylon 12-5. Mia Zegarelli and Casey Rizzi stepped up big in goal for the first time, with a combined 8 saves! Goals were scored by Lena Okurowski, Grace Lambert, Rosie Scavo, Kaidyn Hartmann, Mia Zegarelli, Daniella Tofano, and Hadley Grover.

The girls softball team came through with a 13-3 win on Saturday. Once again, Caitlin DeWitt pitched an incredible game with 6 scoreless innings and completed 7 innings for the win! Julianna Chong hit a fantastic triple and came in to score. Fantastic fielding by Maddy Sesto and Anna Melengic kept Deer Park scoreless through 6.
The Beach Boys track team had an exciting meet on Friday vs Candlewood. Nilson Nunez won the long jump with a jump of 15 ft 5in. Preston Nutter came in 2nd with a jump of 14 ft 9 in. Ciao Baione and Nicky B took 2nd and 3rd in the Shot put. The finale, the 4 by 100. Dom, Nilson, Ciao and Preston set a new Beach Street record with a time of 54.09 seconds. Great job boys - have a great day at school.

The Girls Track Team has a successful meet yesterday against West Hollow! Tori Cohen came in first place in the shotput and Molly and Emma McGrath both won the high jump! Excellent showing from Cara Olsen, Aine Lonergan, Lilly Beneduci, and Peyton Pokorney in the 55 meter and the 100 meter dash! Great Job girls!!!!

The girls softball team defeated Amityville at home on Friday. The team took an overwhelming lead early and held on for the win. Caitlin DeWitt hit a spectacular homerun, Maddie Rauh came through with a triple and 3 RBI's. Avery Mauchan hit a single with 2 RBI's. Ava Corso kept the bats alive with a double and Gianna Baldo and Anna Melengic came through with their switch hitting skills!
Girls Lacrosse practice will be at 3:30 today. Please report to afterschool supervision and wait for your coach.

The boy tennis team had a hard fought battle against West Babylon yesterday. Both Patrick Connolly and Brendan Timpug proved to be tough opponents throughout their matches showing great effort and giving the eagles everything they could handle.

The Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial Fund has started their Cell Phone and Ink Cartridge fund raising event in honor of Elizabeth T. McNamee. Elizabeth was a bright student with a wonderful future. She excelled in whatever she set out to do. Her love for people, athletics and the arts were among her greatest attributes. She attended West Islip Schools, graduated Harvard University with honors and was in her final year at NYU Law School when, in September of 1998 her life suddenly came to an end. Elizabeth died from a disease know as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). The Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial Fund was established to raise funds for the awareness and education to our public and healthcare professionals and to provide support services to those affected by hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and their families. A box will be in the Main Lobby for the collection of used cell phones and ink cartridges through May 19th.
