The Girls Track Team competed in their final meet of the season yesterday against Udall, and the girls did a fantastic job. One highlight of the meet was Evelyn Moore, who took 1st place in the 1500-meter run with an impressive time of 6:35!
We would also like to wish our graduating track athletes—Olivia Demaio, Lexi Kofsky, and Kayla Reed—the very best of luck as they move on to high school. We can't wait to see all the great things you'll accomplish on the track in the years ahead!

The boys lacrosse defeated Udall by a score of 10 to 7 in their last game of the season. The scoring was led by Brody Rossi with 4 goals. Tommy Emma had 2 goals and 4 assists. Dylan Murray took the ball from the defensive end to the offensive end and scored a goal. Brady Lambert and Gavin Salus each scored a goal . Andrew Vadaro absolutely dominated faceoffs and picked up 10 ground balls. Paulie Terembes, Dylan Murray, Jack Gabay, Nick Olson, and Calen Fisher all played good defense. Chuck Constantine made 8 saves in the goal.
The team finished with a record of 8 wins and 2 losses. They scored 105 goals in 10 games and only let in 58 goals in 10 games. Great season boys and best of luck in the future.
Next week, the Girls Swimming and Diving Team will have an informational meeting after school on Thursday, June 11, in Room 114 . All girls interested in swimming or diving in the fall are invited to attend.
Attention all 6th 7th and 8th graders trying out for girls soccer next year:
There will be a very important meeting after school on Wednesday June 10th immediately after school. Current 6th and 7th graders will meet with Coach Reilly about next season and Coach Jablonski will meet with all of the 8th graders about try outs at the HS. Please see Coach Reilly if you are unable to attend.

The boys' tennis team defeated West Babylon on Tuesday. Great wins were tallied by Dominick Montemaggiore, Dominick Esposito, Zach Melengic, Jack Monteleone, Nolan Fisher and Matthew Morgan. There will be no practice today, our last home match is tomorrow against Brentwood. Let's continue our undefeated season!

Anyone who was on the cheerleading team at any point of the year can come to the main office to pick up a shirt after school. Only girls who did not already receive their shirt should come.

Remember to take your instrument home with you today and report to the Bayview Elementary School tomorrow at 8:00am in all black concert attire with your instrument.

Today is Friday, May 22, 2026. Today is a Gold Day.
The boys lacrosse team defeated Finley by a score of 7 to 2. It was a big win and the best game the team has played all season. The defense led the way holding Finley to only 2 goals. Paulie Terembes, Dylan Murray, and Jack Gabay played great close defense and dominated.Chuck Constantine played solid in goal. The defense also cleared the ball well which led to the offense scoring. Nick Olson,Timmy Reinhardt, Matt Mikolajaczyk and Matt Barba played great midfield defense.
Tommy Emma led the scoring with 3 goals.and 1 assist Joey Albanese had 1 goal and 2 assists. Luke Carney had 2 goals. Brody Rossi had 3 assists. Gavin Salus added a goal. Andrew Vadaro and Matt Murn won all of the faceoffs. The boys now have a record of 7 wins and 1 loss Great work boys!
All 8th graders interested in trying out for West Islip Varsity Kickline, tryouts will be held at the High School in the upper gym June 1st 4:30-6:30, June 3rd 4:30-6:30 and June 4th 4:30-6:00. Algebra regents review is canceled today. Mr. Salerno will reschedule it for next Thursday.
There will be no band or orchestra lessons today. Bring your Chromebooks to band and orchestra rehearsal today.
The Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial fund has begun! Bring in your old and broken cell phones and ink cartridges to donate! A box is located in the Main Lobby for drop off, this will run until May 29th.
The Boys tennis team defeated Lindenhurst 6-1 yesterday. The team played amazing and winning their matches was Matt Morgan in a tie-breaker and Ayden Murphy won in 2 sets to 0 in first singles. Playing a tie-breaker to the end was Nolan Fisher at 4th Doubles. Great work boys.
Students: Please be reminded that in the cafeteria you MUST scan your ID badge when purchasing your snacks or lunch. Student ID badges are required to be worn all day and therefore students need to utilize them during lunch time. Students will never be permitted to use another student’s number or ID badge to make purchases in the cafeteria. Any students who are not following this policy may be subject to consequences aligned to the Code of Conduct.
