AGS Coordinator
I am the current coordinator of the Academy of Global Studies and help to oversee all the logistics of providing our students the most amazing global education that we can offer! I graduated from Capital University in 2011 with a major in Integrated Mathematics and went on to earn my Master of Arts for Teachers of Mathematics (MAT-Math) from UC in 2016. I am one of the math teachers within AGS and currently teach PCAP (Pre-Calculus Aligned Physics) as well as College Credit Plus College Algebra and College Credit Plus Pre-Calculus. I LOVE spending time with my family, travelling, and running!

Hello!! My name is Amber Strawser and I am one of the Assistant Principal's at the HS. I work with Seniors, AGS and Testing. This is my 11th year at Winton Woods as an Assistant Principal. I love what I do, I love my students and I love being a Warrior. In my previous life I was a HS History Teacher in the Dayton Area. I taught American History, World History and African American History. I am a proud graduate of Wright State University for my BA in Social Studies Education and both, yes BOTH, of my MEds in Secondary Education and Leadership.
On the rare occasion that I am not at Winton Woods, I love to travel and explore. I also love to cook and throw down on the grill a few times a year school events. My family, two legged and four, are the center of my world.
AGS 12th Grade Team Lead
Hi Fam! My name is Andy Lock and I teach 12th grade Senior Leadership with DJ Sauer and psychology in our blended ELASS 12th grade Behavioral Studies class with the Great Albers Almighty! This is my lucky 14th year teaching, and my 11th year in the Academy of Global Studies. I received my BA in Psychology and History from THE Ohio State University and my MEd from Antioch University. I love venturing out into new places and exploring new cities. My favorite past times are watching football, eating, boating, floating on the river, running, and making fun of the absurd amount of exclamation points Mr. Amstutz utilizes. Man he loves that exclamation point!

Hi, I am the AP Government teacher here in AGS. I am in my 25th year of teaching and my 9th year at Winton Woods (AGS). I graduated from Miami University with my Secondary Socials Studies Degree. I earned my Masters in Teaching from Marygrove College in Detroit, MI. I am a football coach. I have been married for 24 years to my wife Julie (who is an elementary teacher) and I have two boys Kegen-24 and Kaden-20. I am the 11th grade team lead for Junior Seminar.

Hello! I teach Biology and Physics, and it is my 5th year at Winton Woods. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2018 with a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Secondary Education- Integrated Science. I enjoy baking bread, watching sports, playing softball, and hanging out with my husband and 2 cats.

I teach Physics and 9th grade global seminar. I am the Science Department Facilitator and I've taught at Winton Woods for the Past 10 years. I graduated from Indiana University in 2010 with a B.S. in Physics, The University of Cincinnati in 2013 with a Masters in Education specializing in curriculum and instruction. My favorite things to do are play sports, cook, build things, play games and spend time with family and friends!

I teach PSAP (Physical Science and Algebraic Practices, Physical Science, and Senior Leadership. I've attended the University of Cincinnatand eraned a bachelor's of science in education. I have a daughter and 2 dogs that keep me on my toes, and I'm most excited to bring new leadership oppurtunities to our AGS seniors to show their outstanding qualities to the community!

Hi! I teach Junior Global Seminar and Senior World Literature with Mr. Lock in a class called Behavioral Studies. I am also a graduate of Winton Woods High School! Go Warriors! I attended Miami University where I earned my degree in English Education 7-12. I have 3 college-age kids of my own who keep me busy and entertained. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and cooking.

Hi! I teach 10th grade Geometry and co-teach 9th grade PSAP with Dr. Tape. I'm from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2022 with a BS in Physics.
I love to spend my free time with my wife, puppy and friends, and I enjoy playing board games, disc golf, and video games!

I teach AP Human Geography, American History, and 9th grade Global Seminar at the Academy of Global Studies. I graduated with a BA in History from The Ohio State University and earned my Masters in Teaching at UC. In my free time, I love to read with my book club, explore Cincinnati parks with my puppies, and travel every chance I get with my fiance.

I graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with my Social Studies Education degree, and I received my Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati.
I am passionate about education and mental health and am known to be a bit cheesy. I enjoy books and food, love elephants, and can usually be found outside or exploring something new.

AGS Language Facilitator
Hello!! I teach Spanish I, Spanish for Spanish Speakers and sometimes math. I am also the Freshman Class advisor and in charge of the National Honor Society.
I graduated from Mount Holyoke College back in the nineteen- hundreds with a degree in Mathematics and one in Physics, with concentrations on statistics and nuclear technology. On my free time I read to escape into the worlds of historical fiction, mystery, adventure and fantasy, I play with my four, yes 4! dogs who are too spoiled but entertain me to no end. I also run a tutoring agency where I help students with all subjects and test preparation.
I LOVE being part of The Academy of Global Studies and watch students become more aware and active world citizens.
Instructional Tech Coach HCESC
I am the Instructional Technology Coach at Winton Woods High School. I taught 7th and 8th grade math and science, and art K-8. Strange I know! But I am dual certified in K-8 Education and Visual Art K-12. My passion in art is photography. I also have an administrative license. How did I become a tech coach you may ask? I love technology and I love helping teachers integrate it into their classes to help enhance and engage learning! I am a former girls' basketball coach and love watching high school and college basketball. I do miss coaching, but now I teach instructional technology courses to teaching majors at Xavier University. Go X!
AGS Math Facilitator
Hi there! Although you may not see me in your AGS classes, I am around the school teaching ESL Algebra I, ESL Geometry, & CP Algebra II (with the possibility of someday turning it into an AGS class…). I graduated from Miami University with a major in Integrated Mathematics Education and minors in American Literature & Gerontology. Before coming to Winton Woods I taught English, science, & Mathematics overseas in Indonesia & Australia.
In my free time I enjoy getting out of Ohio as much as possible, as there are still so many places and faces I would like to encounter in this short life.
