Calculating GPA
The grade point average (GPA) is calculated by adding the grade point values of the semester grades earned by the student and then dividing by the total number of credit-bearing courses the students took that semester. GPA is calculated at the end of each semester. The cumulative GPA is the student's GPA that is calculated over their entire high school career.
