Missouri Options

The Missouri Option Program is a state certified program that provides students with an alternative path for earning a high school diploma. Students in this program earn their diploma by completing specific courses and passing the HiSET exam. 

Students in the Missouri Option program typically attend WHS for half a day to work on required credits and prep for the HiSET test. 

To earn a high school diploma through the Missouri Option Program students must meet the following requirements:

1. Complete the required courses listed below.

2. Take the End of Course exams for English 2, Algebra 1, Government, and Biology

3. Pass the MO & US Constitution Tests, the Civics test, and CPR training

4. Take a DESE approved required college prep test (ACT, Accuplacer, ASVAB)

5. Pass all sections of the HiSET Test

• American Government

• English 2

• Algebra I 

• Biology

• 0.5 Personal Finance

• 0.5 Health

Students who complete the Missouri Option Program cannot receive their high school diploma until their cohort class graduates.
