COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
WOMEN’S PHYSICAL EDUCATION
The purpose of this course is to introduce a variety of fitness activities to the female students. Activities included but not limited to are yoga and aerobics with light weight training. This course will also include team sports such as basketball, soccer, team handball, football, ultimate Frisbee, hockey and softball. The semester grade will be determined on attendance, dressing out, participation and the final exam.

MEN’S PHYSICAL EDUCATION
The subjects covered will be flag football, basketball, hockey, soccer, team handball, and softball. Skills tests may be given in some subject areas. Grades are determined by physical fitness test (given each quarter), on participation and conduct and written tests.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING I
This course is open to all students, beginners or experienced lifters. Special emphasis will be placed on proper lifting technique, program development, core and aerobic development and overall muscular strength. Grades are determined by work habits, attendance and conduct.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING II
This course is for those students have "leveled up" in Strength & Conditioning I.
Prerequisite: Instructor approval and Strength & Conditioning I

WALKING FOR WELLNESS
This co-ed course focuses on establishing a consistent walking program to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, and overall health. This course teaches fundamental fitness concepts like proper form, pacing, and the importance of warm-ups and cool-downs, often supplemented with discussions on nutrition, hydration, and safety. It emphasizes walking as an accessible, lifelong activity suitable for all fitness levels, with outcomes including improved heart health, weight management, and mental well-being.

LIFETIME ACTIVITIES
This co-ed class will teach students the skills and fundamentals of individual and dual leisure activities and provide an opportunity to develop an appreciation for low impact physical activity. The concepts covered will be: walking/jogging, tennis, golf, pickle-ball, bowling, bocce ball, corn-hole, and Frisbee golf.
