Flex Program- Seniors only
Flex Program Overview
The Flex Program allows students to earn high school credit through paid employment during the school day.
Students earn ½ credit for every 60 hours worked per semester.
When a schedule lists Flex, the student is not at school during that hour and is expected to be working.
Sample Schedule:
1st Hour – Flex
2nd Hour – English IV
3rd Hour – Strength Training
4th Hour – Math
5th Hour – Men’s PE
6th Hour – Journalism
7th & 8th Hour – Guided Study
Work Hour Expectations
Students with one Flex hour should average approximately 4 hours of work per week.
Students must submit a screenshot of their paystub to verify hours worked.
Failure to submit verification or maintain work hours will result in loss of Flex credit and students will receive an F on their transcript.
COE Marketing Work Program- Juniors and Seniors
The COE Work Program allows juniors and seniors to earn high school credit through paid employment during the school day while concurrently enrolled in an approved marketing course.
Students earn ½ credit for every 180 hours worked per semester.
Students must be enrolled in an approved marketing class to participate.
When a schedule lists COE, the student is not at school during that hour and is expected to be at work.
Sample Schedule:
1st Hour – COE
2nd Hour – English IV
3rd Hour – Strength Training
4th Hour – Math
5th Hour – Men’s PE
6th Hour – Journalism
7th & 8th Hour – Guided Study
1 COE hour: Approximately 10 hours per week
2 COE hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Students must submit their paystubs/work hours to their marketing teacher.
Failure to submit verification or maintain required work hours may result in loss of COE credit.
