Upload Content

Content in LIVE is organized in modules. Inside modules you can upload documents, create topic files, embed videos, and more. Use the Content tool to post and organize course content so that information about course expectations, course syllabus, lecture notes, and important dates display to users clearly.

Create a New Module:

You must create a module before you can add content. You can create submodules (modules within existing modules) to establish a deeper hierarchy, but it is not required. OTTL Note: We recommend creating a module called "Course Resources" which will house your syllabus, contact information and/or other important resources for your students separate from weekly work.

  1. On the navbar in your course, click Content.

  2. In the Table of Contents panel, in the Add a module field, enter the name of your new module and then press Enter.

To add a submodule, click into the module. In the Add a sub-module field, enter the name of your new sub-module and then press Enter.

Upload Content:

  1. Once you have a module created, you can Drag and Drop files from your computer to the module or click the Upload/Create button.

  2. If using the Upload/Create button, choose from the following:

    • Upload Files - search your computer to upload files manually

    • Video or Audio - Link or Embed a video or audio file

    • Create a File - Use LIVE's text editor to create content on the fly.

    • Create a Link - Share a hyperlink
