Emergencies, severe weather and natural disasters, among other things, can result in campus closures impacting instruction. With today’s technology tools, it is possible to maintain instructional continuity in order to keep students progressing toward their degrees. In the event that campus needs to close, faculty should prepare to to transition their face-to-face class to an online version by reviewing the resources and materials outlined on this site. Visit the Rapid Transition section for checklists and recommendations in the event that a quick transition is needed. Alternatively, if you are planning to teach fully online from the start and want to learn more about good facilitation or course design, there are resources for you too.

OTTL will continue to add new information as demand and questions on new topics come up, so please check back often! If your department is interested in group training on a particular aspect of online teaching or tool, please contact us to arrange it.
