This is intended to provide faculty with a self-directed learning option to help them zero in on exactly what they need as they advance in their knowledge of our tools. The tools in the survey included D2L/LIVE, Panopto and Zoom each with a list of specific training topics. Under each heading below you will find these topics along with links to specific resources to learn more. Use the menu on the right to jump to your desired section.
Remember, the basics of how to use D2L and Panopto can be found in the Resource Bank area of this site.
OTTL highly recommends faculty utilize the Subscription Training platform to enhance their skills with our learning management system, D2Ls Brightspace. Subscription Training allows you to learn about whatever aspect or tool you choose and at your own level - beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
Follow these simple steps to get started.
Visit Community.brightspace.com and click on Login near the top right. If you're new to the Community, click on Not a member? Join Us! to create an account otherwise just log in if you joined previously.
Once your account is created, log in and click on the Learning Center link from the menu bar along the top
Then click on the blue Subscription Training box on the right.
Once inside, watch the 'Tips for Getting Started' video (link under the main heading in the blue box) so you learn how to get the most use of the system.
To dive into a specific tool of interest, click on Learning Environment for Higher Ed (from the list on the right side) and then choose your desired tool or topic from the list*.
