Reading has many forms: reading to your child, reading with your child, independent reading, reading the pictures in a book, listening to an audiobook, watching a video of a book read aloud. Daily reading time is not just important, it is absolutely necessary to continue reading growth. Reading can also include listening to stories or podcasts and may include topics like science, history, social studies, and self-improvement. Below are some ways to access reading materials online for FREE.
Providing incentives for your kids to engage in reading is also recommended; for example, extra 15 minutes of iPad time, stay up 10 extra minutes after bedtime, ice cream, or even after reading a pre-determined number of pages, you will play a game of your child's choice.
