A student's perspective on WRHS Choir:
When I joined choir my freshman year, I knew nothing about music and I had to sing with the tenors because I couldn't hit any of the alto notes. Still, as soon as I stepped into Mrs. Howard's classroom on that first day four years ago, I fell in love with choir. During my time in the program, I've discovered the unique choral magic of creating something bigger than yourself with a group of people who you love. There's an indescribable feeling of oneness that comes from making music and sharing so much life together over the span of four years. This choir has become a family to me, an always-constant place of refuge and joy. I am incredibly grateful to Mrs. Howard for her passion for music, her love for her students, and her unwavering belief in me and this program. She saw the potential in me long before anyone else could have. Because of her, and because of every wonderful member of my choir-family, the memories I've made the last four years of my life are ones I will treasure forever. Choir has shaped me as a person and defined my high school experience. I will carry the music we've made with me for long after I graduate.
