Welcome to the first half of US History. This course begins with the earliest days of colonization in the Americas and concludes with the Reconstruction Era (1877). The semester project with be a book review of an academic text. (For your reference, all History classes at the University level require the Chicago ND format. See the Resources for Writing subpage for more info.)
For a current syllabus, click HERE, and choose the syllabi subpage. Please choose the classes (1501 and 1502) for the YEAR YOU TOOK THE CLASS.
Use the following link to get to all of the reading assessments. Quizzes are due at 7AM the day of the class session for the chapter. So, if you were assigned to have chapter 4 prepared for today, the testmoz quiz was closed at 7 AM this morning. Your reading and reading assessment are in preparation for the class.

There is no time limit on the quizzes, but you may only take the quiz once for credit.
When you sign in to take the quizzes, please use the 'period number_ Last name' you used in chapters 1-3.
This makes the reporting much easier to interpret.
Thanks!
FYI: not following the above format results in a loss of 1 point (of the 15) for your grade!
As always, I'm available during my non-teaching periods. Look at the sign on the bulletin board and check with me for where I'll be and make an appointment.
