Mission Statement

The mission of the Westside Union School District New Teacher Induction program is to provide rich, relevant, and equitable support for novice teachers on their journey toward earning the California Clear Teaching Credential. The work of this program wholeheartedly supports the WUSD Board of Trustees' tenet that “Our teachers and staff are our most valuable asset.” 

Vision Statement

Through robust mentoring, our Candidates develop specific tools and sustainable practices, resulting in increased levels of instructional competence toward mastery of the California Standards of the Teaching Profession, leading to high levels of achievement, well-being, and success for all students. 

Pre-Intern & Intern Opportunities

If you are interested in teaching with us, but have not yet started or completed your teaching credential program, you may qualify to teach with us under a temporary waiver or Intern Permit.
