Syllabus Ms. Hom-Mandell Rm.40
Course Description: Art 2 provides the opportunity for students to acquire a more in-depth training and experience in drawing, painting, and mixed media. Appreciation for the history and development of these areas of art. Assignments include independent project, figure drawing and interdisciplinary art projects. This year long class is enhanced by student research, sketchbook assignments, and museum trips.
Students will be graded on the following: Attendance, Clean-up, Effort & Citizenship: 40%
Projects, personal GOOGLE site and sketchbooks: 60 %
Sketchbook policy: The visual arts department believes that successful teaching and learning take place beyond the classroom. Required Materials: Agenda book, sketchbook, required homework, and ready to learn attitude. Attendance policy: According to WPS policy, five or more absences per term equals an “N” or incomplete, and three unexcused tardies per term equal one absence. Ms. Hom-Mandell homj@mail.weston.org
