Weaving

I made this loom from a kit during workshop at Anastasia Grinstead's house. She also taught me how to (Inkle) weave on it!

It has now been stained and my daughter did a bunch of knotwork painting all over it.

I now have several smaller looms but this is the one that started it all and I helped make it!

I have, since that first band, made a whole bunch of bands for different projects but hadn't thought to start taking pictures of them till recently. One was a prize in an "Unbelt" tournament. :D

I have tried, several times, to do card weaving but had determined, just like counted embroidery, it is not my thing and so I move on :)

Band for the strap of the Princess pouch I made for Viscountess Ciar.

I wove a lot of yards of this for Princess Sara's "leadership" favors, then cut it into pieces, fringed the ends, and sewed over the flap. Sara then sewed the sharks teeth on.

I wove LOTS and LOTS of yards of this for Princess Sara's Guard favors., then cut it into pieces, fringed the ends, and sewed over the flap. Sara then sewed sharks teeth (not pictured) on.
