I am The Honorable Lady Apollonia Faust. I have been playing in the SCA for about seven years witht the first nine months spent in the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann and the rest in the Kingdom of the West, specifically the Province of Southern Shores in the Principality of the Mists.

I have been doing calligraphy and illumination for almost as long as I have been in the SCA, really diving in when we moved to the West. I was lucky to meet Mistress Eliska in my local area who encouraged me to give C&I a try, and I've been hooked ever since. I have been an Apprentice to Mistress Hilarie the Puppeteer and Master Bjorn Jorsalfar for about three years, and they have helped me grow exponentially in my art.

I have done scrolls in a variety of styles since I like for the scroll to reflect the recipient's personal style. My favorite subject matter to paint is marginalia, the weirder the better! I also like painting demons and Hellscapes. My favorite style is 15th-16th century European books of hours.

While my primary focus is calligraphy and illumination, I also do a lot of sewing and dabble in many other arts and sciences like shoe making, jewelry making, wood working, and knitting.
