Greetings I am known as Ciarán mac Ultáin or Sean McKee mundanely. I have been a part of the SCA since March 2017 and it was with the SCA that I found my interest in tablet weaving and a host of willing taste testers for my experiments making fudge!
My very first event was March Crown 2017, after that I started playing regularly in the Shire of Windy Meads in the Principality of Cynagua. I have just stepped down from being the Chatelaine for the Principality of Cynagua and transitioned to being Cynagua's Gold Key deputy.
My Art is currently mostly comprised of the chocolaty goodness of homemade fudge and tablet weaving bands using various tablet weaving techniques. There are other arts that have caught my attention, but weaving and making fudge have been my favorites so far.
Where can you find me or more about my art? Take a look below and check me out on Facebook, Instagram, on the West Kingdom History site or on my new website!
The project which has been taking up most of my time recently has has been making a website for my art and my SCA persona. I wanted a place I could share what I am making, how to reach me, and some of the resources I've found along the way. I had some troubles with some tools not working as I anticipated, but I'm pretty happy with how its come out so far.
Making fudge has been my other focus lately in between working on patterns for the next tablet woven bands I'm planning.
You can check out my new website here: Twisted Treats & Trim

The Lord of the Rings band has the inscription from the One Ring (made into a lanyard) and bookmarks.
The bookmarks were given as gifts to the team and the lanyard raised $1,801.64 for Child's Play.
Glow in the dark antlers!
My latest band using a purple rug cotton and a white poly glow in the dark yarn. Sadly the charge doesn't seem to last more than 30 minutes, but it glows!
