At the start of our Sophomore year, we were still in online classes with exorbitant amounts of free time. During this free time, I had decided to pick up my guitar and practice my fingerstyle playing method more. Playing the guitar was one of the best things I had ever done as it was one thing that helped challenge me and keep my mind relaxed amidst all the drama that was there due to quarantine and online school. A few challenges I had to face while playing the guitar was the rashes and cuts that my fingers were filled with after playing the guitar intensely for hours everyday. Another challenge I had to face was while playing my guitar was my parents. Although the guitar may be both a productive thing and a relaxing thing, it is also a very loud instrument. As it was so loud, sometimes my parents got annoyed at how much I was playing it, and all of my tunes started to sound the same to them. All in all, I would say that practicing the guitar and the fingerstyle method more during quarantine was the best decision I could ever make, and I hope I keep practicing the guitar even when I move to college.
