Varsity Girls Basketball

  • Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively

I was the center, alongside a senior, in the varsity basketball team at Wells. We played in the AISAA League and we were supposed to play for ASAC, but we were cut short of the opportunity.

Hikes in Hawaii

  • Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

  • Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

While I was in Hawaii for the summer, I participated in several different hikes which required days of prepping and gymming beforehand.

We went on a total of 6 hikes, and while they took the life out of me, they also reminded me of the natural beauty of the earth.

It was challenging, but I decided to look past the physical tiredness and focus on the outcome at the top of the hills or mountains on which we hiked.

Twin Towers Classic Tournament at International School of Kuala Lumpur (Varsity Girls Volleyball)

  • Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

  • Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Part of being the volleyball varsity girls team, we had one tournament in which we went to Malaysia for the Twin Towers Classic Tournament.

As it was international, we had a lot of practices before the tournament, and did not end up placing very well. This was understandable, as we were nowhere as good as the teams that were present at the tournament. This tournament had to be one of my most memorable moments of my junior year :) I did learn a lot of skills and I noticed that I improved much more than I did before. I did owe some of that to the Summer Hawaii Volleyball Camp.
