During my time in Mahidol University I've learned alot from my seniors p' Mew and Dr.Kul, one of these things is observing as well as learning how to operate an electron scanning microscope. The reason is to check if all the microneedles are similar/relative in structure so that the professor can continue her research.
During the internship my senior as well as the professor entrusted me to make some microneedle patches, The needles send extracts of Kratom which should help relieve pain as well as inflammation on applied areas. I not only learned how the microneedle delivery mechanism works but also learned how to make them, this is a picture of me making on right now.
"A new challenge may be an unfamiliar experience or an extension of an existing one. The newly acquired or developed skills may be shown through experiences that the student has not previously undertaken or through increased expertise in an established area."
The CAS learning Outcome of this experience is outcome number 2 because during this experience I had to learn many new techniques in chemistry and things such as making Microneedles at first I didn't understand how to make or do anything in the lab but with the support of my seniors I overcame this challenge and made my own microneedles without needing guidance. I also learned how to do assays and how to work a scanning electron microscope
