WMS PTO

Dear Incoming Grade 6 Parents and Guardians:

The WMS PTO welcomes you and your family to Wellesley Middle School! The PTO supports students, faculty, administration and families by supporting programs and events to enhance the social and educational experience at WMS. 

Look for our weekly newsletter which arrives in your email on Sundays!  Reading the PTO newsletter will keep you informed and connected to the parent and school community.  You will be automatically subscribed to the newsletter through your WPS PowerSchool account when you receive your house/homeroom assignment in the fall.* 

Additionally, we hold All Parent meetings throughout the year to discuss parent concerns, upcoming events, and school services.  Our meeting formats and times vary to support involvement - keep an eye on the newsletter for more information. Your feedback on meeting topics is always welcome, and your participation is appreciated!  

The PTO plans events (Mini Marathon, Turkey Promenade), cares for school needs (Beautification), supports the staff (appreciation events, professional development) and helps with special school projects that fall outside the district’s budget. Our yearly budget is about $70k, and we request an annual contribution from families to fund this work.  Your generosity allows our team to enhance what is already an incredible education experience. 

Other than the Annual Appeal, the PTO relies on parent involvement to keep things running!  There are many opportunities to get involved in the WMS PTO as a new parent, including volunteering to serve on a committee, be an event co-chair, or be on the PTO Board as Secretary or Co-Vice President.  We are actively recruiting for the 2026-2027 school year and would love to hear from you at wmsptoinfo@gmail.com.  Also, please check out our website for more information on how you can become involved with the WMS PTO!
