Greetings from the WMS Special Education Department! 

We are busy preparing for your child's transition to WMS and look forward to welcoming you and your child for the 2025-26 School Year.

The transition process may seem overwhelming, but please rest assured that we are working hard to plan for your child's successful transition to our middle school. 

In order to learn more about our department, you may wish to attend our Informational Webinar for Parents of Students with Special Education Services.  The webinar will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 9 to 10 a.m.  Here is the informational flyer, which includes the Zoom link to use that day and a Google form to add any questions you would like to see addressed during our webinar.  The session will be recorded and shared with families after March 31st in case you are not able to attend that day.

At WMS, each child and family is assigned a special education teacher or service provider who serves as liaison for the school year, ensuring your child is supported academically and also socially/emotionally.  You will receive a letter in mid-August 2025 that will alert you of your child's special education liaison.  We encourage you to reach out and connect with them prior to the start of school
