A strong school library program harnesses the collective leadership and expertise of the Media and Technology Advisory Committee members to lead personalized professional learning on skills related to information literacy, digital citizenship, and digital learning.

Continue our work from last year on Equity & Cultural Competency through promoting literature that is representative of our school population and promotes cultural diversity.
Integrate information and technology skills with classroom curriculum by teaching all students in grades 6-10 how to evaluate sources of information utilizing the methodology developed by Jennifer LaGarde and Darren Hudgins in their book Developing Digital Detectives: Essential Lessons for Discerning Fact From Fiction in the 'Fake News' Era.
Integrate information and technology skills through MTAC student created materials that encourage students proper handling and best uses of Chromebooks utilizing the 4 C's, integrating new technology such as Promethean Boards, maintaining accurate records of technology devices.
Empower student voice in media center programming through surveys and interviews through the redesigning of the media center website.
