This year, our MTAC group was small and mainly comprised of 6th Grade Students. We able to get some good long term projects started, such as the Series Signs

MTAC has been a very fun and unique learning experience. Although I’m not sure if i’ll be rejoining next year because of a hockey thing that will be happening. I have enjoyed my tenure here very much and hope all future members have as good of an experience as I have. -Jack R

I liked working on projects throughout the year, and I was put into a situation where I was kind of a student leader. I enjoyed working on the series signs. I think that MTAC looks really good on a transcript if you are in it for a while, and it’s also nice to get to know people from other grade levels. I won’t be here next year, but if I could improve something it’d be more marketing to get people to join. - David S

Literacy Promotion - Books of Terror, Hispanic Heritage Month, Series Books (Need to finish next year), PBS Field Trip/Kwame Mbalia Author Visit, Banned Book Week, Donors Choose Grant for new graphic novels, Winter Reads
Book Drive for Hampton High School - we collected over 350 books
We had great discussions about the House Bills and Senate Bill that concern School Libraries (HB595, HB636, S511) and how these relate to MTAC.
