The WFMS Student Services Support Team understands that all students, families and staff have had different experiences with Covid and Remote Learning. We are here to help!
For updated announcements from WFMS School Counselors, School Social Worker, School Psychologist and School Nurse, please check out the Counselor's Corner each week.
For information about direct services to students during remote learning, please review the Parent Consent Form (en Espanol).
Bell Schedule - you should see your student logging in for LIVE instruction on the times listed; if you ask your student to show you the screen and they say "we're on a 5 minute break", this is most likely not true because teachers don't need to offer these when there is an 8 minute break between classes
A Day/B Day elective rotation calendar - this calendar let's you know which elective class your student should attend that day (they rotate every other day)
Virtual "Meet the Teacher" (welcome video from each of your teachers/staff)
Staff Office Hours - these are times when staff are available for individual and small group help. Students can log in through google meet - all days/times/meeting codes can be found here.
Plan B/Blended Learning Rotation calendar - for students signed up for Plan B/Blended Learning, they attend school on a 3-week rotation. The calendar for Fall Semester one is found here and the calendar for Spring Semester is found here. Note that Cohort A = "1", Cohort B = "2", Cohort C = "3"
Students must first log in to their WakeID to access the learning. This is very important because they will not be able to access their google classrooms, live instruction, PowerSchools, or student email without it. The WCPSS Getting Started website includes instructions for logging into/setting up your Chromebook or internet hotspot, how to sign into your Wake ID, PowerSchool and student email. You can view a video on how to access Wake ID here. You can view a video on how to access and use your email (Outlook) here. Note: staff may only email students through their WCPSS student email.
Stay Up To Date by reading Dr. Bradford's principal messages here. Please review the last few messages as there is a lot of important information there. You can also join SchoolMessenger which will allow you to sign up for notifications of future messages.

Families were able to order a device over the summer and at the start of the year. You can still request a device if you need one by contacting your student's counselor or Assistant Principal. Please note that there is currently a wait-period for devices; we do not have devices at WFMS at this time.
If you are having trouble with the WCPSS device that you previously received, please contact the WCPSS Help Desk online or at 919-694-8100. You may also contact your grade-level counselor or administrator for assistance - or Ms. Munroe in the Media Center (lmunroe@wcpss.net); we will do our best to help you fix any problems we can.
If your student needs help with their Wake ID password or navigating a google classroom, please have them email their teacher, School Counselor, or Ms. Munroe (lmunroe@wcpss.net).
