Wake Forest Middle School Student Services strives to work collaboratively with students, their families, staff, and the community to promote student growth in the areas of academic, career and personal/social development.
WFMS Counseling Department Vision Statement
The Wake Forest Middle School Student Services Department believes that all students can acquire the academic, career and personal/social skills to reach their fullest educational potential. By recognizing that all students have dignity and worth and collaborating with stakeholders to create a safe, mutually respectful, healthy and orderly learning environment, we support equitable access for all students to a rigorous and relevant curriculum that will prepare and inspire them to be highly effective communicators, critical thinkers, and creators (innovators) in a complex global community.
WFMS Counseling Department Mission Statement
The Wake Forest Middle School Student Services Department will deliver a data driven, comprehensive school counseling program that recognizes each student as a unique individual and allows them to achieve growth in the areas of academic, personal/social, and career development. Through collaboration with families, teachers, administrators and the community, we will help create a school culture of equity and access so that all students can learn skills and build healthy relationships to reach their full potential and lead productive lives in a complex and changing world.

- 3/26/20: At this time all Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) dates including SSA test requests and SSA testing windows will be postponed until further notice.
- 3/19/20: Stay up to date on WCPSS COVID-19 updates here, including resources for students and families (ex: food resources, how to talk to your child about coronavirus, emotional safety for students)
- Current 6th and 7th graders will complete the registration process with their School Counselor prior to Spring Break. After Spring Break, course verification forms will be sent home to parents so that changes can be made if needed. Learn more: Course Registration.
