Sixth Graders -

Purnell has been meeting with each sixth-grade student individually for check ins. This will continue into next week.

SEL Lessons have begun and next week we will dive into "Self-Awareness". They will become aware of their personality, thoughts, beliefs, motivations, and feelings. They will know their strengths and weaknesses, how different things affect them, and being able to notice their own behaviors. It involves being able to take a step back and really clearly seeing themselves and how they might be perceived by others. Finally, it will include thinking about their future and how they want to live their own life.

.

This week students will be completing a schoolwide needs assessment via google classroom. After students complete the needs assessment, students will then open the document back up for "parents" to complete the assessment as well. Please note that it is very important that we hear from our parents, as they're apart of Wake Forest Middle Schools-School counseling program development. The assessment should not take no longer then ten minutes to complete. Students must be logged in to their RapidID in order for parents to complete the assessment. Any questions, please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience at msmith21@wcpss.net.
