WCPSS Curriculum and Classroom Guidance

• Human Trafficking - **Please note that this program/lesson will not be conducted through virtual learning due to the sensitive content and required follow up with students.** This lesson is taught to all WCPSS students in grades 7, 8 and 9. Student Services works in collaboration with the Physical Education Department to teach this state-mandated information. 

• Social Emotional Learning (SEL) - students will receive 2 SEL lessons. 

  • • The first lesson will target how to manage emotions. Learning Objectives: Students will identify cause and effect relationship between emotions and choices and identify coping skills that will help them to make good choices when experiencing intense feelings. 

    • The second lesson will focus on confident problem solving. Learning Objectives: Students will identify 5 skills for problem solving.
