Rhythm Band

In Rhythm Band students will be moving, playing, and creating as we explore rhythm! Through this elective, students will reinforce and expand their knowledge and understanding of the elements of music: pitch, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, and form. We will also be singing, playing, reading, and writing music to further our music literacy skills.

Students in this class will develop their singing voices and their ability to feel and play a steady beat as well as simple rhythmic and melodic ideas. While singing and playing, students will practice group behaviors such as choosing partners, taking turns, and cooperating in pairs and as a class.
