FINAL PORTFOLIO DEADLINE
THURSDAY, MAY 15th
This upper level elective is for those 8th grade visual art students that have completed a minimum of Drawing II and Painting II. Students will investigate different media and artistic styles. A complete visual art portfolio is the main goal of this class (a culmination of all visual art classes taken at Moore Square).
Art History will be covered in this class (depending on what level they have completed prior to class.)
If they have all 5 phases of Art History completed, students will finish with ART CRITICISM.

Students learn that art is "MOORE" than just a pretty picture. Art captures cultural heritage and and human history. We learn about how past events and human emotions affect artists and their creations and in turn, students learn to place value on the artwork they view and create.
There are 6 PHASES of Art History to learn at Moore Square.
