The West Bend School District partners with Diversified Benefit Services (DBS) to adminster the District's Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). DBS provides comprehensive plan design, reimbursement strategies, communication and enrollment solutions for FSAs for over 35 years.
FSAs are available to any employee who is offered the District's health insurance plan.
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an excellent benefit program that can save you money! FSAs allow you to pay for medical, dental, vision and dependent care type expenses with tax-free money. FSAs allow you to save on your health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. Because you do not pay Federal and Social Security taxes on money that goes into your FSA, you decrease your taxable income and potentially increase your spendable income. Using an FSA saves many people approximately 20-30% in taxes on their expenses! Click here to learn more about Flexible Spending Accounts.
Health Care FSA can be used for a variety of medical, dental and vision expenses including:
Medical deductibles
Medical coinsurance
Medical Copays
Glasses and contacts
Orthodontia
And more!

Each year the IRS determines new FSA limits, these are usually announced in early November.
2025 Health Care FSA - $3,300
Dependent Care FSA - $5,000
This amount is per household even if your spouse works for another employer.
Each year the IRS determines an FSA rollover amount. The amount that can be rolled over into 2026 is $660. Any funds remaining in your account at end of calendar year over $660 will be forfeited.
