Program Information
Wayne Valley now offers four levels of Photography!
A variety of digital SLR cameras and lenses, as well as cell phone lens attachments are available for students to use in-class and to sign out to take home.
Students have access to 24 desktop computers loaded with the Adobe suite, an in-class portrait studio, product photography area, and other program equipment such as lighting, backdrops, and tripods.
Student work can be viewed in the high school hallways, inside the photo lab, on Instagram, as well as throughout our community.
Students have opportunities to enter their photography into juried showcases and art competitions throughout the school year resulting in publications, prizes, and awards.
All students complete each course with comprehensive portfolio of their original work.
Program Growth
Valley Photo has officially partnered with William Paterson University. Commercial Photography (level 3), will now be enriched and offered as a dual enrollment opportunity for students to receive college credit.
AP Photography (AP 2D Art & Design), was also added to the course offerings! This will be a rigorous, college-level photography course is designed for students to take the College Board exam. Upon completion, scores of 3+ may receive college credit at the students college of choice.Â
