Robotics
Quick Facts
Go-to course for any student planning to attend engineering school.
Use CAD, 3D printers, laser cutter, CNC machines and other tools to design, manufacture, and fabricate parts for your robots. Program them using C++ and Python. Get a head start on electronics for Physics.
Three year sequence. Third year is dual-enrollment with NJIT.
First year: Use engineering modeling software to create a virtual prototype of a robot. 3D print the parts, assemble them, build an electronic system, and use C++ to program your robot to independently navigate through a maze.
Second year: Hack bluetooth modules, IR, ultrasonics, game controllers, and more to enhance your robot’s capabilities. Learn C++ and Python to build, simulate, and repurpose many of the systems that we use every day.
Third year: Employ advanced prototyping techniques as you design and develop competitive robots. Dual enrollment with NJIT (three credits) for qualifying students.
No prior experience assumed or required.
