Media Center

The Wayne Valley Media Center is at the heart of Wayne Valley High School. Students visit the media center for research projects, to check out independent reading books, to complete art projects, take part in makerspace activities, demonstrate class presentations, or just to relax before or after school, and during study hall!

This year, Mrs. Foster has created a "STEAM Closet" in the lower level of the library which includes art supplies, legos, 3-D Doodle Pens, K-Nex, games, puzzles, and more. The closet has been a big hit with the students!

Mrs. Foster, in conjunction with the Guidance Department, is also working on a Counseling Corner in the upper level of the library. The Counseling Corner will have books for students regarding college and career planning, mindfulness and meditation, coping skills, and more. The Counseling Corner will be a "device free" zone where students can relax on the couches and bean bag chairs.

The media center has also hosted many events this year, such as a Freshmen Orientation Escape Room, Halloween Escape Room, and a Thanksgiving "Book Tasting." We look forward to many more educational and fun events to come!
