Section 13: Exemptions

**Exemptions are a team decision, and this section should not be filled in until it has been discussed with the whole team**

Third Grade Reading Guarantee

• Only mark "Applicable" if the student is in the second or third grade, otherwise click NA
• Exemptions will be discussed with the IEP team during the meetings when applicable (this discussion usually begins in second grade)

Graduation Tests

• Only mark "Applicable" if the student is in high school, otherwise click NA
• Exemptions will be discussed with the IEP team during the meetings when applicable
  • this discussion usually begins during ninth grade, and exemptions will be specifically addressed with the team after the student has attempted all tests (around grade eleven or twelve)
• All students taking the standard assessments will be required to attempt each graduation test area
