Classes Visited:

  • English 10, Reading Strategies, and Learning Support English 11 and 12

    • Students came to the library to learn about reading materials offered both physically and electronically. Students learned about the genrefication of fiction books, the ebook and audiobook app Sora, and all of the databases available to them at school. Students ended their time by selecting a book of their choice to read during class time.

  • Health

    • Students came to the library for research to create a medical pamphlet on a chosen or assigned STI. During this time students learned where to locate quality information, how to create citations, and how to create an informational medical pamphlet.   • CP English 11

    • Students came to the library for a Noodletools refresher demonstration for a timeline assignment. These students will get the full research experience during the 3rd quarter of the school year.

  • Honors English 12

    • Students came to the library to gather resources and materials to complete their research papers to go along with the summer reading assignment. Students picked a novel by a British author and a short story or poem companion piece to read this summer. When they returned to school in August, they began to compare the literature pieces to complete a literary analysis research paper.
