Compelling Question: What are the most powerful forces to initiate change?
Supporting Question: How did the Cold War Change when JFK became president?
Today we will look at the Kennedy administration and how they attempted to address Cold War fears and deal with the Civil Rights struggle that began in the 1950s. First we will analyze Kennedy's Inaugural Address to gage his take on these issues and then look at the three Cold War Events during the early days of his presidency that threatened to plunge the world into nuclear war.

We will continue our analysis of the Civil Rights movements as it continues into the decade of the 1960s. We will look to see what means of protest are the most effective in encouraging change. We will focus our study on the following events of the early 1960s.
