Monday
For this unit, we are going to make the interactive notebook more centered on you and allow you to create it to reflect your understanding of the important concepts related to Developmental Psychology. Click the button Developmental Scrapbook SideShow Instructions. I have provided a blank Google SlideShow for you to use as a blank canvas.
We will discuss Piaget's theory of cognitive development, complete the Piagetian Development activities, and there are two additional video clips above we will discuss.
You will complete the Piagetian activities in class.

Today we have explore prenatal development by viewing The Miracle of Life.

Wednesday
Today the topics that we will examine are ATTACHMENT and PARENTING STYLES.
The psychologist that you need to associate with the theory of attachment is HARRY HARLOW. Below is a video clip that focuses on his work and findings. Also for parenting styles I have include a Slide which includes a couple of charts related to DIANA BAMRIND'S parenting style theories.

Thursday
Our topic will be Kohlberg's stages of moral development. I have included an short practice activity "Mr Kohlberg Goes to Washington".
** For the AP Exam focus on the 3 levels (Pre Conventional, Conventional, and Post Conventional). They do not ask about specific stages.**

Friday
Today we will discuss Erikson's PsychoSocial Stages of development. Erikson's theory described the impact of social experience across the whole lifespan. Erikson was interested in how social interaction and relationships played a role in the development and growth of human beings.
Each stage in Erikson's theory builds on the preceding stages and paves the way for following periods of development. In each stage, Erikson believed people experience a conflict that serves as a turning point in development.
