Most UK and EU passport holders will be eligible for an ESTA https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ . You will need to apply for your child's ESTA. This can be done from now. If your child has another passport (non UK or EU) or has visited Cuba, they will need to get a visitor visa, and the waiting time for an appointment can be quite long, so it is worthwhile sorting this early. Please ensure your child has a current passport that does not expire within 6 months of our return date.
Completing the ESTA Application
To complete the application, please visit: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta
You will need the following information for each individual applicant:

Alternative Visa Information
Travelers who are unable to obtain an ESTA will need to apply for a visitor visa valid for travel to the United States. For more information, please visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html. The process for obtaining a non-ESTA visa can be lengthy and will often require supporting documentation and an appointment at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Appointment wait times can often be 3–5 months, depending on the location. Therefore, it is very important to begin the visa application process as early as possible.
Insurance
Your package does not include insurance for medical or lost luggage etc. The insurance in place does cover for if the travel company were to go out of business.
ESTA information
The U.S. Immigration & Customs department requires travelers who are eligible under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to apply for authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).The Visa Waiver Program allows nationals from participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business purposes for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa. While most countries are included in the VWP, we strongly recommend that all travelers check their eligibility via the official ESTA website to ensure compliance. Individuals who do not meet the requirements may need to apply for a different visa type — this process can take time, so we advise beginning as early as possible. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visa-waiver-program.html . We typically recommend that all group members complete their ESTA applications at least three months prior to departure. Once approved, an ESTA is valid for two years or until the traveler's passport expires— whichever comes first. It is the traveler's responsibility to ensure their ESTA remains valid for the entire duration of their visit to the U.S.
Please note that if students are to go on a school trip they must be presenting the best of our values consistently. If a student has a CfL score of above 2.7 at the time of the trip, they will be unable to attend the trip and will not be eligible for a refund as final balances will have been paid to the providers. Please be assured that as a school we always balance the need for the consistent implementation of our CFL grade, with the need to make reasonable adjustments to meet the individual needs and circumstances of all students.
