Location/Facility

VVS Middle/ High School Campus
VVS is located about 2 miles from exit 33 on the Thruway.

Course: 

Our course consists of challenging hills, open fields, and wooded trails. Wooded trails are solid, hills are covered in stone dust, and the open fields are grass. Quarter-inch spikes are highly recommended. Those that have not attended the VVS Invite since 2011 will notice some big changes. A copy of the course map is provided below.

Upkeep: 

The course has been undergoing ongoing updating and maintenance since Sectionals in 2004. Many coaches’ comments and ideas have been taken into consideration to help make this course more runner, coach, and spectator friendly.  Spectators can now see their athletes several times throughout the race with less than 400 Meters worth of walking.

Timing and Scoring

Please enter your athletes through MileSplit by Sunday, October 12th. 

As in previous years, varsity and JV will run together. JV will be scored out of each race. JV teams start with runner #8. The rationale behind this decision is to allow teams to run together. The number of team entries is unlimited. Teams will be given a 12-foot  box and may "negotiate" sharing with the team next to them if that team does not need their full 12 feet of space. 

There will be modified races.  Unlimited entries

Schedule

Some form of this.  We have no idea how many teams will attend.  If we have more than 20 teams we will think about adding races.  Depending on traveling teams we may move the start time back an hour.
