Many local city and town parks allow snowshoeing and cross country skiing during park hours and allow you to explore your community in a whole new way!
Some cross country ski trails do not allow snowshoeing or hiking as it may destroy the groomed tracks used by classic Nordic skis and Skate Skis.
Always remember to ski with a friend and only take on terrain you are comfortable with. Do not explore higher elevation or steeper descents without proper training and avalanche gear when necessary.
