In the Building Trades and Construction industry sector, the District has a Building & Construction Trades Pathway available at Golden West High School and Redwood High School. Activities in this pathway range from general or exploratory skills to job-specific skills that prepare students to select and pursue career paths through post-secondary education and training, work experience education, and apprenticeships.
Courses provided within this pathway include Intro to Wood Building Trades, Wood Production and Construction 1, and Wood Production and Construction 2. These courses offer VUSD students the ability to incorporate and apply academic core content to career-related education, providing strong foundation skills and advanced skills in the career field of their choice within this industry sector.
