Precision

I made this Circus tent to add to the Vidaville Miniature Golf Course. When it is installed, it will be part of one hole on the course.
To make the tent I needed to make circles, a scored rectangle, and a cone.
I knew I wanted the tent to be 6 inches across so I drew circles with a radius of 3" and calculated the circumference so that I would know how long to make the rectangle.
It took a few tries, but eventually I figured out how to use the circle cutter. I am pretty proud of how my circles came out.
I have really gotten better at cutting and scoring cardboard!
I cut out a larger circle then used a tape measure to make sure I cut out the right size wedge to make the cone fit on top of my cylinder.
I learned that I should draw my scoring lines before I cut out the wedge to make it easier to have lines go through the same point.
Globe Project
Completing the globe project required a ton of attention to precision. We had to draw and number straight lines for the Equator and the Prime Meridian. We also had to draw the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, which was especially difficult because they did not fall directly on a graph line.
There were hundreds of points to be plotted, and most of them were not directly on a grid line. North America was the worst because the points were close together and sometimes you had to backtrack over lines that you had already finished. I often ended up erasing and working backwards.
I was really proud of my final project. It was really annoying at times, but in the end I feel like I did a really nice job with it.
