Goals this semester: Get 80% or higher in overall grade. Get 80% or higher in final test.
I am working well on reaching my goal because I study when i get home and do questions at school.
Research Project: https://www.canva.com/design/DAHC8zcbgaU/cJ8gjCOx0YkjX6z-Z19ing/edit
The most interesting thing I learned about Roman Numbers is that it was first used for counting live stock. The most challenging part of the research process is when doing 3 findings. I overcame it by searching keywords. The skill I improved the most is researching skills. I would add more information on my research project and research more deeply. It changed my way looking at math from thinking math is boring to making it feel interesting.
Some algebra projects we did is the location activity and the math review. We needed to find a place to have a activity and our budget was 30,000. For the math review project, we had to find the items and then do the questions.
If people saw my work, they will learn that I am a fun person because I enjoyed finding the characters to do the questions. 2. What is particular area of growth in your work or study habits? Articulate an actionable planned improvement for that area. An area of growth on my study habits is checking google classroom everyday. A planned improvement is to check google classroom and do better time management. My math portfolio connects to PBL and geography because it helps me do my research better. It connects to a prior assignment where we did desmos activities. A feedback for my research project is to add different facts so I found more facts than I needed and chose 3.
The hardest part on modeling is making the poster. Math helped me make decisions by letting me know which item cost cheaper in which place. If the budget was 50,000, we can have more people to come and maybe more types of lunch. The number of people attending will influence how much money we spend on the entry fee and lunch fee also the biking rental fee. So when the entry fee is cheaper, we can rent bikes that are more expensive or buy better lunch. A strategy to minimize the cost of each person and the food and 2 activities to to reduce the time of each activity.
Coding is similar to solving math problems because you need to logic to solve it. Making an error in coding is like when your equation is wrong in math you will get a totally different output. The part that coding surprised me the most is how much logic is needed to code just like math. I can now let the character do anything I want now that I learned scratch.
My GSP connects to my other class assignments like coding in PBL class. We made games in PBL class so it connects to coding. One piece of peer feedback is when they told me to add some more animations and I did.
