Some problems I encountered were when I didn't know how to create the floor plan of the eco house, and I solved it by asking my friends and searching up examples. I learned about myself that I am good at math. People who look at my work might think I am hardworking. I want to work on focusing in class.
Some connections to other classes are PBL and science, because we have PBL, which teaches us problem-solving skills, and we also have the eco house in science. It also connects to my prior math class by reviewing what we learned. Peer feedback is helping me make a better eco house.
Some resources I used in the Eco house is the Excel Sheet. It's very helpful because it can quickly calculate some numbers and cost and also have a clear table. I would use it again if we had another projects related to this. One idea I changed is when I thought math is about calculating, not anything else but now we are doing the eco house which I thought wouldn't be part of math. For example, I learned to scale and how I should find the surface area for each wall in the house. I think I can use color blocks to representants the area of each part, I also want to spend time on eco house at school.
This connects to science because we are also doing an Eco House, also we are knowing what materials and plants are good for a green roof. It connects to some older math classes by reviewing what I learned in the past math classes. One feedback is when my friend told me to make parts to represent the rooms in the house which made it better. One thing I can improve on my portfolio is adding more photos of different activities we done and add more details. Some of my study habits is when I get home I check google classroom and Gmail. This lets me know what I need to do today and easier time management.
