First Unit Test
Description
This test is more about graphing the lines and solving equations. I did most of the questions correct but there are something calculations that I did wrong.
Global Citizenship – Identification of Global Issue
Graphing can let us learn about thing like world populations, and how much it increased. Also the satellite is also based on the points of the x and y axis to move. So we learned that our world is full of graphing and points. if satellite don't uses the points to move, it may cause trash in the space and making some places not getting enough sun and cause death.

After this lesson, I and better at looking graphs like stocks and also population. And identify it easier than before this lesson.

Before this test, I norally don't check my work. But after this test and the teacher corrected, I found I have some wrongs in there. So after that I will check one more time before I turn it in.
Growth – Collaboration/Feedback
The teacher found some errors in my calculation, and some things I missed. So I think that I need to be more careful when I read the instructions and also check the answer after I write it.
Class-Specific 1: Conceptual Understanding of Mathematics
After this test, I learned that two lines only have one same point or else they would be parallel or the same line. And I learned easier ways to solve the equations. By solving these problems, I first identify the questions that what type of questions it is, and what is been asked. Then I try to find a way that is the easiest to let me the answers. Because I am used to these two steps, so it is easier and faster to get those answers since I am used to those tools.
Class-Specific 3: Mathematical Communication
This test I showed clear explanation of graphs and the calculation formula, and right the points correctly.

After this test and the feedback, I need to make my work look clear and don't skip steps.
Food Truck Project
Description
This is our food truck project. My partner is Zach. The hardest part we had is to decide the name of the food truck and what color we should use for it. But after that it is easier because we can both solves equations both times. Overall I think this project is fun because we have a chance to manage our own business plan and calcuate it. That is very new to me.
Critical thinking
When we are doing this project, we need to think of what will we cost and calucate it since that we have an amount of money or we will be broke. So we used our mind to decide what is cheaper but also last longer or better conditions.
Global Citizenship – Identification of Local/Regional Issue
We connected this project to real world because when we graph our write out our calculation formula, we can no our amount of cost and amount that we earn and see if we earn money. Further than that graphing also can lets us take a look about inflation, and see if we need to raise the food price.
Global Citizenship – Appreciation of Difference
Me and my partner live in different places when we are younger, so we had different kinds of food. So our food truck is basically a mixture of me and my partners favorite food to sell. And this benefits both regions of people they can learn new culture but also get their favorite food.
Growth – Connection to Future Plans
This project is really connected to my future plan though I won't open a food truck. But I wanted to be an astronaut, and graphing is really important in that part because I need to know where to move or may be we would crash into space and I will die there. Also when I solves equations it is also related, because some times maybe I would need to calculate the time.
Class-Specific 2: Application & Problem Solving
After this project, I felt connected between the linear equations and real life problems. Like food prices and parking fees. Those equations can show the growth of a lot of things. For instance: some may show about climate change, others may show about the worlds population and how it has been changed.

In this test, I made some changes of how I write this test. First I make my steps more clear and my handwriting more neat so it would be easier to read.
Vertical Growth
In this test, I improved a lot in my calculations, I showed some more steps than the last test. This helped me scored higher because it is more clear and easier to figure out what I was writing.
Work Study Habits
In this test, I organized my calculations more clearly, because it is easier to read and grade. Also I did some graphing more in this test, because I found out the graphing is helpful for thinking if you don't know where to start.
Collaboration/ Feedback
Before this test, I have made some of the projects and a test. Teacher said that I didn't show my work properly, and my calculation isn't that clear enough. So in this test, I try to make it more organized, as clear as I can. And this is really helpful for me and my teacher, because I can see where I left off, and easier for the teacher to read.
Class-specific 1: Conceptual Understanding of Mathematics
In this test, we didn't just calculate the answer and get the points. Teacher try to make those problems more linked to reality, which some of them we never think of. Math can also turn into a part of life, for instance the graphing.
Class-specific 3: Mathematical Communication
In this test, teacher combines those mathematical language into real problems, and this makes those questions more complex and fun to do. I also learned some mathematical words in this class, because I was in a school using chinese to teach previously. So even though I know how to do this problem, I may not know fully understand the whole concept. But after I used some time getting used to it, I started to get the questions real meaning, making it easier for me to get all those points that I should have scored.

In this project, we made our own road trip, this makes us learn how to find the fastest route to another place. This connects to one of the steps of our PBL. We need to find our own community partners, and when we need to do this. Finding a fastest route to another place is very important. Because it saves time for us and we could ask more questions.

When we are doing this road trip project, the most important thing that we need to think of is how much time does it need for us to travel from one place to the other. And when we are saving those time and distance, it is also help decrease climate change. Because it uses less fuel that cars are using and power.

Distance is the most important thing that we need to focus when we are doing this project, Shorter distance makes the air in the society more clear, and this can solve air pollution which would cause a lot of disease that would harms people's lungs.

In this project, we are finding ways to save energy, solve climate change and slowing air pollution. This can help protect nature and let those cultures stay longer.

For this project, if I really have time and money to do this roadtrip, I would want to try it out. So I could know that the route that I chose is really the shortest distance or not. And visting places that I have never been is cool.
Class-specific 2: Application & Problem Solving
We chose our own choice for this project, so we had different calculations. This makes it more fun, because these are things that we could really do in real life, which is calculate the distance.

After we have done this project, we still need to explain why we made it like this and what would happen. We chose places which all have NBA teams because both of us likes to watch it.

This project is using those circles to make some of the designs, and it lets us think about what things in life are made out of these shapes, and how we could design it using a mathmetically way. Which is really interesting, not just having test. But we have those projects that we got to think like a designer coming up with something new.

For this project, I chose to make a new logo for the MRT in Taiwan. The MRT design right now is not really in complete round shape, and have different colors. So I used two circles and also use all the MRT colors fill in it.

In this project, I tried to cut the two circles into small different places and then put all the lines colors in there. Rather than only blue and green in the original one.
Growth: Vertical Growth
This project is not just using calculation, we need to rely on the calculation so we can draw it on our graphing paper, which affects a lot. So I recalculated a lot of times making sure everything is correct. So my graph will wouldn't wrong.

Because of this project, and some of the numbers are ugly. So I tried another way to prove that my calculation is right, which makes me be more confident to my calculations.

In my previous projects, my calculations were very messy. So this time I made my calculations more clearly and not that messy, which makes the teacher easier to grade my work and a higher score.

After this project, it proves that clear calculation is important, because I can know which step I did wrong if I had any miscalculations.

School Values: Critical Thinking-identification of changes
This test I got a lower score than the others, and. I think that there are several reasons. First, there are some parts that I didn't really see the questions, and just jump into those calculations, which makes. my answers wrong because I didn't read the questions. So I need to slow down. The second thing is that I need to do my calculations again after I have done the test, because some times I may get the wrong answer but I know how to solve it, which sometimes is annoying for me.

This test is one of the most important test for our semester, and becasue of those calculations made my score low, it shows that recalculate is very important. Which is same as my English class, we were writing essays, but both of these proved that proof read and calculate again is very important.
